PENNY PROJECT
------------------------------------------------------------------
A project I started in Oceanside. This project involves me giving people a penny and in exchange they give me a quote.
I always look for new methods to improve my photography and creativity. I have seen many HDR images and portraits, and a few HDR portraits, so I decided to try it myself.
My main issue was finding models to participate in this project, so in order to accommodate for this, I have decided to turn it into a personal project which I have also incorporated into my website. This project (Penny Project as I call it) involves me giving a penny to a person, and in exchange I take their picture and they give me a quote. These quotes involve an anecdote of their daily life, an inspirational quote, or something random from their day. While shooting these images I carry a portable flash and umbrella and attempt to capture as much sunset as possible as well as having well lit-portraits of people. These images are then post processed in Photo-matix Pro and are given an HDR effect. The combination of these create image are given a artsy type feel due to the effects of HDR processing.

"Extreme Dog walking." - Nick, Molly, and Chevy.
Previously they were thinking of a really long and intricate quote, but for my sake, they decided to go for something simple. How kind!

"Seek truth and conform yourself to it." - Zack S.
Zack walked by and complimented me on my camera setup, which prompted me to ask away for a shot. The Photography community in Oceanside is nice as well!
Playing with HDR for this one. It actually turned out quite nicer than expected.

"Living the life on the ocean pier!
Now a super hero is near!" - Rachel and her sister
Met twins with hyperactive youth. They were such naturals in front of the camera. I told
them they should be models. No surprise, they already are.

"Good things come to those who wait." - Dav
Easy to approach, Dav gave me a great insight on patience. Life may seem unfair, but with great patience, it is rewarded, assuming you're willing to work for it as well.

"My quote is 'Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.' by Ralph Waldo Emerson." - Bre
She's another photographer taking time to enjoy our beautiful Oceanside. She had an amazing shoot in Encinitas before coming down here to shoot once more in Oceanside. Marvelous.

"There are very few things worth getting upset with." - Bill Stanford
Wise quote from a wise man. We
live in a world where everything seems to upset us. Just remember; a second you spend being upset is a second of happiness you have lost.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Enjoy life everyday." - Erik
I met another photographer along the pier of Oceanside. If it's one thing I have noticed; people take pictures to capture the beautiful moments our world has to offer.
So many angles and views, but so little time to view them. Might as well try to show others from your point of view.

"I'm over it." - Ray
Met him while out shooting. He was interested in the project and my set-up, so naturally I had to get a quote from him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sora asks; "If every door were a gateway to another world, which door would you open?"
A very interesting and powerful question, I like to believe.

"I Duke, therefor I am." XanDuke Ganon
One of the most awesomest names I have ever heard. It's his pen name, but nevertheless, it's an amazing name.
I met him later in the week while on a shoot with a friend and he asked me how my project was going. I have to say that made my day.
